Caputo’s: Fine Pickle Purveyors

“HELLO MY NAME IS KRISTINA AND I LOVE ALL THE PICKLED THINGS.”

“Hi Kristina”

Look, I’m not sorry. The minute the snow melts all I want on this earth is vinegar in all its forms. Salad dressings. Bread dipped in vinegar and oil. Sipping vinegar with seltzer. And of course, pickled things.

ALL of the pickled things. If there is a better way to improve a vegetable I haven’t found it.

So fortune of fortune, there are four Caputo’s Market locations in the Salt Lake valley. Not only do they have a capital selection of pickled things, but they also have a killer deli case and make gigantic sandwiches. Can you see the bucket of fresh mozzarella and feta cheeses??

For $45 you can take the upcoming class, “Regional Pastas, Shapes and Sauces“, and for an extra $15 you can opt into the wine pairings (which you should do, obv).

They also sell these guys, candied orange wedges dipped in dark chocolate (serving size: 1 so buy 12).

As you might imagine, I have to be careful in a shop like this. Seriously, if I’m not watching I’ll have spent the mortgage on pickles. And chocolates. And cheese. And cured meats.

WORTH. IT.
